**About Us**:
The Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University is a public, urban medical and dental school to serve the people of Southwestern Ontario. The School's mission is to provide medical and dental pre-and post-doctoral education programs.
At Schulich Dentistry, we prepare qualified graduates to provide dental care as well as generate knowledge through clinical research, basic science research and other scholarly activity. We also provide oral health care to the public through our on-site clinics and our community outreach programs, specifically, Dental Outreach Community Service (DOCS) and Oral Health, Total Health.
**Responsibilities**:
- The Clerk will be responsible for providing administrative and transactional support for various individuals and processes, and will offer excellent customer service in all interactions. The incumbent will work under the direction of a supervisor, and will prepare, file and distribute documents, correspondence and other materials according to instructions and established procedures. The Clerk will perform data entry as required, respond to general inquiries in person or by telephone, and may maintain an inventory of supplies.**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
- Community College Diploma in an administrative field
**Experience**:
- 2 years' administrative experience providing customer service
Skills, Abilities & Expertise:
- Knowledge of general office procedures
- Customer service skills with a desire to achieve results in a positive and timely manner
- Ability to follow formal business practices with high attention to detail
- Ability to employ a systematic and efficient approach to work
- Computer skills with the ability to learn and use software programs
- Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
- Personable and courteous in working relationships with colleagues, students and the public
- Ability to prioritize and organize a fluctuating work load
- Ability to interact effectively with students, staff, faculty, and other members of the University community
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the team to achieve department goals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong keyboarding skills
- Ability to work in a manner that is compliant with confidentiality requirements
