**About the role**:
The T4C and Project ReSet programs work with individuals who are/at-risk of promoting, supporting, or committing violence or high-risk behaviour related to or associated with ideology or targeting of identifiable groups or institutions and/or individuals involved with street-level violence. They provide responsive, individualized case management and wraparound supports and services. Services are client-centered, and so, the needs, strengths, and goals of the client guide the intervention plan. The ultimate goal is to enhance protective factors, reduce risk factors, and improve community connection. Travel throughout Eastern Ontario is required.

- Understanding and working with clients that struggle with multiple barriers, both at a systemic and individual level (mental health, criminality, substance use)
- Outreach, engagement, and strategically intervening with individuals involved in or at risk of targeted violence/crime or street-level violence, and their families and communities
- Initiative, perseverance, flexibility, and organizational skills to ensure tasks are promptly and accurately completed, under tight timelines
- Communicating, including providing and receiving feedback

- Understanding of trauma and its implications for those individuals intended by this project
- Experience conducting standardized assessments in supporting clients to establish and achieve goals
- Have experience working alongside Ottawa-based community partners
- Knowledge of and training in the VERA-2R
- Experience and commitment to working with marginalized populations in a dignified and respectful manner
- Providing intensive case management including both direct counselling/support and bridging to other services
- Using structured interventions that target areas known to put individuals at risk for ongoing criminal behaviour
- Meeting deadlines, managing multimodal interventions and work efficiently under pressure
- Working with individuals in the community during crisis and other high-risk engagement situations
- Using data collected through numerous sources (assessment, collaterals, and/or other documents) to complete regular reports, trackers, and/or other required documentation

**You have a unique history. Does it include the education and experience listed below?**
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in the field of social sciences or relevant lived experience
- _Minimum two years’ _experience providing direct intervention to at-risk/justice-involved transition-aged youth and/or adults and their families
- Experience and willingness to work with various aspects of the youth and adult justice systems, including diversion, detention, custody, probation, and parole, as well as police services
- Proven effective relationship-building with community partners and referral sources

**SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL**
- Have an updated clear Criminal Record Check working with a vulnerable population
- Obtain clearance with Correctional Service of Canada for federal institution meetings, and with provincial institutions (e.g., Ottawa Carleton Detention Centre), Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and/or the Ottawa Police Service
- Have an interest and willingness to work within a structured clinical model, established program model
- Be supported by the JHS Clinical Director and Program Coordinator
