The Manager, Academic Success and Advising plays a key role in establishing integrated business plans and a client service model for the Beedie School of Business' Undergraduate Programs. The role facilitates the design and manages the implementation of new undergraduate academic learning goals, programs and course offerings. The Manager establishes student success models for program learning goal initiatives and potential program pedagogy and assessment redesigns. The position operationalizes strategic student enrollment, retention, and completion initiatives, services and systems. The Manager is responsible for managing the Academic Advising team, supporting the Curriculum unit, and coordinating with Recruitment, Admissions & Enrolment, and Academic Directors.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Business Administration, Education or other relevant discipline, and three years of experience in management, academic advising, and recruitment, as well as curriculum, project and enrollment management; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of academic advising, recruitment and enrollment management theories, best practices and strategies, including assessment.
- Excellent knowledge of university policies and regulations related to student recruitment, academic advising, enrollment management, and curriculum.
- Excellent knowledge of current theories and practices in education, particularly with respect to post-secondary curriculum and learning (e.g., student diversity, large classes, small group, team-based learning, blended, and online learning, etc.) and academic development.
- Excellent knowledge of and skill in providing consultation and creating plans, programming, and facilitating approval processes for curriculum initiatives.
- Excellent knowledge of business workflow design and business process engineering.
- Excellent knowledge of Canadian and international secondary and post-secondary education systems.
- Excellent supervisory, teamwork, interpersonal, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent presentation, communication and intercultural communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to research, synthesize, and analyze metrics.
- Ability to identify opportunities to form partnerships in the higher education community and to establish networks.
- Ability to lead multiple team projects and events.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and exercise mature judgment and a high level of diplomacy and discretion.
- Ability to arrange suitable transportation to various work locations.
