**ABOUT US**
Hard Feelings is an innovative non-profit organization based in Toronto. We support a community of mental health professionals who offer low-cost counselling and mental health supports. Our retail shop and storefront offer curated products and resources, and encourage conversations that support stronger mental health.
**THE HARD FEELINGS COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE**
The members of our Community of Practice (CP) are independent practitioners (RSWs and RPs) representing a diversity of practice approaches, backgrounds and experience. They provide low-cost / short-term individual, group, and family/couples therapy to folks who are facing barriers to accessing mental health supports.
**THE JOB**
In this role, you will lead the daily operations of the CP, supporting and managing over 20 therapists - most working virtually - in a community committed to trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice.
Working with the Executive Director, you will work to grow and promote the CP, and contribute to the development of mental health initiatives within the organization.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. Daily Operations: Manage & Lead
- Orient new members to the CP and our unique model of practice
- Organize and facilitate monthly peer consultation pods for counsellors
- Select, schedule, and oversee monthly professional trainings for the CP
- Respond to counsellor requests for support and provide clinical consultation, as needed
- Organize and lead social and team building events for the CP
- Support CP members with private practice management, as needed
- Maintain our counsellor resource and referral databases
- Manage Dropbox, Google Drive and other systems that support the CP
- Ensure the CP practices within an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and inclusive approach to client care, and build CP culture with this framework in mind
- Lead our Counsellor Focus Group to review and revise practice model, in response to emerging needs and shifts in the mental health landscape
- Support the return to in-person practice, as part of our hybrid model
- Oversee room bookings and scheduling for in-person practice
2. Growth of the Practice: Analyze & Innovate
- Recruit, screen, and select new CP members, consistent with our growth strategy
- Work with external partners to develop and oversee groups offered in our storefront and online
- Manage, collect and analyze client/counsellor survey data to inform program growth
- Advise the retail team in the curation and development of therapy tools and resources
- Create and update clinical policies, based on best practices of relevant regulatory bodies
- Support the design and development of volunteer programs, as appropriate
- Participate in the visioning of new projects and initiatives that are aligned with our mission
- Support work of the Clinical Advisory Committee of the Board
3. Promote the Practice and HF: Communicate & Connect
- Promote the CP and the organization with partners and the public
- Respond to client requests for service and assist them in connecting with the appropriate counsellor and/or service
- Contribute to external communications for the CP (social media, newsletters, networking)
- Collect and analyze caseload data to include in quarterly and annual reports
- Provide program data to inform promotional materials (newsletter, proposals, etc.)
- Maintain key partnerships that support the work of the CP (e.g. community partners, clinical practices, facilitators, etc.)
- Represent the CP in media interviews, educational forums, and community events
4. Other: Support Hard Feelings
- Provide occasional support in the storefront (resource navigation, interacting with customers)
- Contribute to our client resource directory to support service navigation in the storefront
- Support events and workshops, such as our annual Mental Health Pop-Up Market
- Some evening and weekend work required
- Other duties, as assigned
**THE CANDIDATE**
You are a warm and skilled leader, and are deeply aligned with our mission to reduce barriers and increase access to mental health supports through innovation. You have a creative mind, and are open to trying new things that can make change to existing systems. You get things done, and have a knack for building community across virtual and in-person arenas. As a clinician, you are deeply rooted in trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice.
