**Scope of Position**:
The Store Manager is our highest leadership position we hire for within the company. It is primarily a leadership role including decision making and authority for the store operations and accountable to the store owners directly. It is a full-time position and often will require flexibility to help problem solve operations and staffing needs. It is an active, hands-on leadership role. It can be either a salary or hourly position.

The Store Manager will be the primary decision maker for our supply chain to make our core products (ice cream, baking, cones), inventory for the store as well as catering, staffing, training and increasing the competencies of our staff team. The manager will work closely with the owners (who are hands-on, actively involved, part of the team that is meeting the store needs). The manager will be trained and supported by the owners of the store to complete the tasks and expectations at hand. They are a key member of the core leadership team.

Realizing our store is a top 10 store in the country with a strong catering component to our sales, responsibilities include:

- Be the “face of the place” in overseeing and participating in the day-to-day operation of the store.
- Demonstrate superior customer service, serving as a role model for the team in problem solving and handling our customer.
- Recruit, hire, train, motivate, coach, and increase the areas of competencies for our team of employees.
- Be competent and efficient in all areas of the store operation, while still maintaining service, product quality, and hygiene standards.
- Take a primary role in scheduling a team of employees to work effectively and efficiently together to meet the needs of the customer, the daily operation and productivity - while still maintaining or exceeding expectations for wage cost targets.
- Manage the inventory of all products in the store to ensure a full selection of ice cream flavours, mixins, and packaging are available for sale or use at all times - while maintaining or exceeding expectations for production/inventory cost targets.
- Be accountable for all the assets of the business including cash, non-cash tender, gift cards, inventory, equipment, etc., while maintaining or exceeding expectations for cash loss targets.
- Maintain a structured cleaning and maintenance program for the store that includes all areas of housekeeping and equipment maintenance on a required basis.
- Follow employment and Health & Safety standards provided by our governing bodies.
- Work with the owners and others to support the needs of the overall business where required.

To succeed in the above, the Store Manager will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills that include:

- Consistently strong interpersonal communication skills
- Consistently strong written communication skills
- A thorough understanding of basic business profit and loss drivers
- Competency in working with electronic communication and spreadsheet resources
- Ability to excel and encourage others to be efficient in time management
- Take ownership for their store resources, both physical assets and people
- Demonstrating honesty, integrity, and respect
- Problem solve and critically think through challenging situations

**Salary**: $17.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
