Reporting to the Director, People Services, the Manager, Recruitment and Volunteer Resources is responsible for cultivating a people first mindset and driving results that recruits and retains staff and volunteers at Niagara Health (NH). Through guiding innovative talent management and volunteer engagement strategies, this leadership role builds and grows our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and collaboration through delivering results and following through on portfolio commitments. Through demonstrating a customer oriented perspective, this leader focuses on leading human resources practices, enabling people to do their best work, and augmenting engagement in support of patient care.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Lead the recruitment and volunteer resource teams and develop operational plans that support our strategic and operational priorities
- Develop recruitment campaigns and implement effective strategies to recruit, onboard, train and retain staff and volunteers
- Plan, develop and implement innovative and leading recruitment and retention strategies
- Prepare, review and analyze vacancy data to developed targeted recruitment strategies for priority units and hard to fill roles.
- Responsible for the department budgets and resource allocation
Undertake projects that fosters and maintains a people first culture

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- University degree related to Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent area of study.
- Certified Human Resources Leader/Professional (CHRL/CHRP) professional designation is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in talent acquisition/volunteer engagement and leadership positions.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects involving partners from diverse areas and organizations.
- Strong relationship skills and ability to build trust and confidence with internal and external partners.
- Understands and advocates for recruitment initiatives that align with a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
- People leader with proven ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external constituencies in a diverse community.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, change management, problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to take initiative and responsibility to create new processes and services.
- Experience in managing budgets and funding requirements.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems, prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and engage others.
- Evidence of continuous learning and growing a learning organization.
Consistent and regular attendance required.
