The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator is involved in developing and implementing Easton's Group of Hotels Inc.based communication adhering to the Standard Operating Practices. The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator will assist with promoting the company and hotels by developing and executing social media strategies and plans for brand building, innovation, corporate promotions, and internal communications initiatives through the use of, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc. This role will also provide mentorship and necessary training, allowing you to hone your content creation skills for future roles.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Assist with developing, implementing and measuring external and internal Social Media posts for Easton’s Group of Hotels properties.
- Assist with the creation and execution of Food and Beverage Outlet promotions using various platforms, such as OpenTable, IG, etc.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of Social Media programs and communicate results to the business every quarter or as needed.
- Develop and implement online communications strategies, ensuring alignment with internal communications strategies, including day-to-day content development strategy and functional enhancements.
- Assist with various annual social media campaigns for fundraisers and other events.
- Serve as junior editor and provide communications content for SM platforms.
- Liaise and collaborate with Easton’s Group of Hotels full-service properties to assist with onsite content creation and sharing.
- Assisting with all pre-hotel opening tasks, such as influencer campaigns, media relations
- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Identify opportunities for user-generated content and user engagement initiatives.
- Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**:
- Current experience in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing and Hotel Hospitality
- Excellent command of (written) English, including creative, solid copywriting and editing skills.
- French written language is an asset in assisting two Pointe-Claire, Quebec hotels.
- Advanced knowledge of Social Media platforms - Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram,
- Knowledge of analytics, tracking and social media monitoring and scheduling.
- Willingness and ability to create social media posts daily or upon request.
- Knowledge of digital media software - Canva or other graphic design software is preferred
- Detail oriented and possess excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills
- Skills:
- A clear understanding of post timing, placement, and effectiveness of messaging.
- Experience in Hotel and Food and Beverage promotion an asset.
- Ability to analyze post timings for effective impact on engagement and following
- Ability to work on one’s own to create posts for approval.
- Be customer-focused and understand the differences in the audience regarding Easton’s Group of Hotels and other hotels.
- Must be able to multi-task when working within tight timelines for posting
- Strong attention to detail, team-oriented and a self-starter
- Must have a firm understanding of all Social Media Platforms and their effectiveness in message
- Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with strong editorial abilities
- Strong knowledge of Web Design, Canva and other similar software programs
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, media monitoring software, and other public relations tools.
