**Job Description**:
Join AECOM as Archaeological Field Supervisors

We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Archaeological Field Supervisors I, II, and III to join our team, based out of multiple offices in Ontario.

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Requirements**:
+ BA/BSc in archaeology or related field + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

+ Valid Research or Professional class license issued by the Ontario Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism & Culture Industries.

+ Valid Driver's License.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
+ 1+ field seasons independently supervising teams during Stage 2-4 archaeological assessments under own issued Research License required.

+ Ability to perform strenuous archaeological fieldwork in all weather conditions, including lifting 40 lbs and being capable of repetitive movement.

+ Experience operating high-precision GPS & Total Station equipment and data recording programs (i.e., Fulcrum & ArcGIS Collector).

+ Firm understanding of MHSTCI Standards and Guidelines for Consultant Archaeologists.

+ Artifact identification skills & experience for both Indigenous & Euro-Canadian material.

+ Prioritization of health & safety and adherence to all AECOM procedures, including strict Covid-19 measures.

+ First Aid Certification is an asset.

+ Willingness to work out of town within Ontario for extended periods of time.

+ Sensitivity & awareness combined with a respectful attitude towards Indigenous culture & people is a must. Collaboration in a team environment is key.

+ Reliable transportation to & from the assigned office or designated project meet spot is essential.

+ Responsible approach & understanding of the production rate of the field team, working within set timelines.

+ Motivate field teams in challenging conditions to successfully complete assigned work.

+ Willingness to continually learn & take direction from Field & Office Managers.

+ Provide clear & accurate communication regarding field discoveries, field strategies, & staff issues between the field & office teams.

+ Clearly communicate & document discussions with field technicians regarding performance & behavior (i.e., performance reviews).

+ Ability to take clear & accurate field notes.
