Inferno Solar Ltd. is an Alberta-based, family-owned solar company. We install solar systems that make a difference - hundreds and thousands of panels at a time. Our goal is to provide Clean Energy Solutions for Canadians, and we feel the commercial sector is key to doing this as it has the highest impact for the lowest input cost.

Our projects are on commercial buildings - flat roofs and sheet metal roofs, in Edmonton, Calgary, and smaller cities and towns across Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan. We are also expanding our capabilities to include expertise in EV charging, battery storage, and lighting upgrades.

We use heavy machinery, run lots of pipe, and pull big wire. We get it done, do it right, make it look the best it possibly can, and have fun doing it.

**Mission: Lead, plan, develop, mentor and support the Construction team.**

**Key Accountabilities**:

- **Plan, organize, and direct the construction of solar and EV charging projects for multiple field crews.**:

- **Create and manage construction schedule. **This includes manpower and equipment for all projects
- **Effective delegation and measurement**:

- **Train & mentor key installers, foremen, maintenance technicians. **Set goals, measure goals, provide leadership, growth, and training opportunities to key employees
- **Manage installer headcount **Create monthly labor plan, post job postings and perform interviews when short, inform management when we have too many installers to plan for lay-offs or other gap work
- **Ensure work is completed in a timely fashion**:

- **Ensure work is completed Safely **Ensure direct reports are adhering to safety policy.
- **Ensure work is completed with utmost quality** Ensure direct reports are adhering to quality control process.
- **Ensure work is completed on or under budget and on time**:

- **Be a Leader **Supervise and offer guidance, maintain clear communication with your team, create a positive working environment

**Secondary Accountabilities**:

- **Communicate changes in inventory to the team**:

- **Assess gaps in operations **Including need for new tools and equipment, installer training, etc
- **Maintain vehicle & equipment fleet **Ensure equipment is maintained annually and needed maintenance is performed and recorded
- **Procurement of ‘B’ Material** Distribution & long lead equipment to be ordered by the Construction Workerager. ‘B’ Material is conduit, wire, distribution, and everything else needed for a successful project. Generally, conduit & wire should be measured or ordered by foremen.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- 5+ years solar experience, 5+ years commercial electrical experience, 5+ years management experience
- Master Electrician (extremely strong code and industry know-how)
- Class 5 driver’s license with clean record and reliable transportation
- Excellent communicator, planner, and mentor
- Ability to navigate and use software, including SiteDocs, Knowify, OneDrive/Sharepoint, and Microsoft Word & Excel
