Job Title: Scaffold Foreman

Number of Openings: 1-2

**Job Type**: Full-Time/Permanent

Minimum Level of Education: Journeyman Certificate/Proof of hours

Hours/Schedule: Varied

Locations to be Supported: Edmonton/Fort Saskatchewan/Other

Start Date: ASAP

**Position Summary**

Other responsibilities include:

- Safely leading a team to erect, maintain, repair, and modify all types of industrial scaffolding.
- Estimating scaffolding jobs when needed.
- Inspecting and tagging scaffolding accordingly.
- Utilizing site drawings and written instructions to select materials required to set ground levels for scaffolds.
- Installing steel pipes and supporting braces and clamps to form bases for scaffolds.
- Lifting and positioning sections of scaffolding and bolts pipes together to build scaffolding as per site requirements.
- Placing planks over horizontal bars to create platforms.
- Monitoring levels in scaffolding structures to ensure stability.
- Dismantling scaffolding at the completion.
- Leading and planning the implementation of the project.
- Determining objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.
- Executing the project according to project plan.
- Monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion of the project.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be a Registered Scaffolder Journeyman through SAIA or provide proof of hours on company letter head or T4s.
- 5 years foreman experience required.
- D&A testing could be required for various jobs.
- Ability to produce daily & routine reports and general correspondence.
- Ability to lead a team in a working foreman environment.
- Previous oil and gas/construction industry experience.
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
- Self-starter requiring mínimal supervision with the ability to multitask and define properties.
- Strong communicator, able to understand instructions and communicate effectively.
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet quality standards.
