Day Camp Counselor

Montréal, Canada Côte-des-Neiges Black Community Association Inc. Full time

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Attend and take part in the pre-camp training;
- Must know at all times which children she or is responsible for;
- Applies the safety procedures learned at the training camp;
- Supervises the participants in their group at all times, and must know where they are at all times;
- Implements safety measures;
- Provides liaison between parents and the Camp Coordinator;
- Develops positive relationships and maintains a high level of motivation and enthusiasm with the campers;
- Ensures that the camp and surrounding area are clean. Ensures that any equipment used is correctly stored after every activity;
- Administrative tasks, such as reports and evaluations.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- Bilingual (French and English spoken);
- Camp experience (not mandatory but an asset)
- Computer literate, experience with Microsoft office (excel, word, etc.)
- Group management experience an assest
- Available and full-time hours for the summer camp season (minimum 35 hours per week for 8 weeks)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 9 weeks

**Salary**: $17.50 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
