The Côte-des-Neiges Black Community Association (CDNBCA) is seeking an experienced animator to take on the role of Day Camp Counsellor.

CDNBCA’s mission is to support the development of social, cultural, educational and economic institutions in our community. We strive to develop partnerships and collaborate with institutions to provide effective services and programs which will address the needs of our community. Cote-des-Neiges Black Community Association is guided by strong principles which enshrine the rights of all people in this society to live with equality and dignity.

**RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Supervises the campers in their group at all times;
- Provides liaison between parents and the Camp Coordinator;
- Develops positive relationships and maintains a high level of motivation and enthusiasm with the campers;
- Ensure that all program areas are clean and safe;
- Ensure that any equipment used is correctly stored after every activity;
- Administrative tasks, such as daily attendance, incident/ accident reports and evaluations.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:

- Experience with working at a camp or in a similar recreational setting;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (Bilingualism, French and English spoken an asset);
- Experience working in a team and enjoys working with youth;
- A high level of creativity, flexibility and energy;
- Ability to work in a team setting;
- Organizational skills;
- Can adapt, open-mindedly, to various unforeseen situations;
- Experience work with youth with varying needs (emotional, physical, behavioural, intellectual)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 9 weeks

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
