Currently we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager ensures our company's operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. They will interface with suppliers, customer service and internal departments to meet delivery and production expectations, manage inventory levels, and provide sourcing, purchasing, and price negotiations, building raw material management systems, maintaining inventory of critical components and ensuring there is no supply chain disruptions to interfere production scheduling demand.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and manage assigned suppliers through sourcing, planning, ordering and expediting purchased goods for best total cost and required quality.
- Support production schedules through supplier negotiation, metrics and development for improved service, quality and cost performance.
- Actively manage the site Sales and Ops monthly meeting identifying RM/component needs and any risk items to be addressed.
- Locate, onboard and develop new suppliers using audits, competitive bids and detailed total cost evaluation, keeping the business needs as highest priority.
- Actively pursue cost savings through competitive quoting, source changes, material alternatives, and packaging, freight, or term considerations.
- Determine and implement planning parameters to manage inventory and support production requirements for assigned components.
- Monitor supplier performance by ensuring that product is delivered as scheduled and meets specifications; maintaining appropriate files and records of meetings with suppliers to ensure company requirements are met and that supplier is aware of their performance.
- Recognize and recommend disposition for obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
- Lead or participate in problem resolution and development of service improvements using root cause and counter measure processes.
- Process non-conforming material requests and RMA requests with supply chain partners.
- Work with suppliers/vendors to establish best supply chain practice and best pricing through request for quotes/proposals process. Negotiate and manage long term pricing agreements on critical commodities.
- Handle correspondence concerning over-shipments, delivery shortages, changes in quantity, delivery dates, and prices and report such changes to leadership and department team in a timely manner.
- Recognize and relentlessly pursue continuous improvement opportunities.
- Establish, implement and maintain supplier performance metrics and regular reporting.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Completed formal education in SCM, Purchasing, Business, or Operations Management.
- Supply Chain accreditation (CPIM, CSCP, SCMP) is preferred.

**Skills/Abilities/Characteristics**:

- Excellent knowledge and computer skills with ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel (including V-Lookup and pivot tables)
- Strong vendor management and negotiations skills
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task, change priorities based on rush orders, time constraints, and frequent interruptions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail orientated and focused.
- Ability to work independently and on a team.
- Ability to follow current practices and processes.

**Experience**:

- 3+ years current experience at the senior level as a Buyer/Planner.
- 10+ years sourcing and procuring raw materials, inventory control, contract negotiation, supply management, supplier relationships, basics of Cost Accounting, and tracking invoice reconciliation.
- Knowledge of MRP process.
- Knowledge of import freight movement.
- Familiar with Pharmaceutical/Dental industry an asset.

Working conditions
- The Supply Chain Manager will work in an office environment.

- Prolonged periods of sitting.
- Incumbent may be required to be on a computer for extended periods of time cause strain to the eyes or wrists from typing.
- Occasional light lifting of warehouse supplies.
