**Job description**

MRO Buyer and planner is responsible for the strategic and tactical procurement of all indirect materials with focus on MRO, services, and Capex along with planning in SAP. He/she will source product both domestically and internationally and execute global long term contracts for key supplies, and manage short term or spot pricing and terms. Additionally, the MRO Buyer will evaluate supplier performance and develop a strategy to drive improvement in total cost, quality, and delivery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Identifies and resolves routine and non-routine issues.
- Manages the transition between suppliers, usually for a region
- Qualifies suppliers against standard or adjusted criteria using established processes
- Applies the non-conformance process and works with suppliers to resolve non-conformances
- Identifies and alerts senior practitioners or leaders to opportunities to improve Ingenia’s purchasing performance
- Applies advanced purchasing and negotiating tools and processes in the course of their work
- Develops performance measures and targets for commercial agreements and tracks suppliers' performance against them
- Communicate price movement and trends on indirect and equipment spend. Suggest course of action to minimize risk.
- Provide estimates for capital equipment purchases for budgeting purposes.
- Tracks performance metrics for purchasing and reports to management on a quarterly basis verbally and written.

- Creation / modification of purchase orders for planned work
- Coordinating with operations, purchasing, materials management, maintenance personnel and maintenance management

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Science/ degree in Business/Engineering with a major concentration in Supply Chain Management.
- Professional certification: Institute for Supply Management designations of Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (APP) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM); or the American Purchasing Society designation of Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM) is desired.

**Minimum Experience**:

- 3-5 years experience in procurement in a manufacturing environment.
- 7 - 9 years combination of post-secondary education and related experience.
- Experience with SAP / MRP systems is a must.

**Job-Specific Skills**:.
- Superior ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others at all levels, including senior member management personnel, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to read and analyze market and industry reports and data, recognize opportunities for growth and profit, and make sound business decisions based on this information on a regular basis.
- Procurement and supplier negotiation abilities.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
