**Trouw Nutrition is hiring**we’re looking to add a **Production Lead **to our team in **Olds, AB**. We are looking for a leader who can coordinate the daily activities of our Machine and Production Workers on various shifts, a safety conscious leader to deliver on the required production targets within established schedules, timing, quality, and cost standards.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Supervision and People Management**:

- Plan and coordinate the work of your team. Lead, coach, and train new production staff
- Assign and direct tasks on a shift basis and work on-call after hours to troubleshoot any production issues in the mill.
- Create well-organized team schedules to ensure efficient coverage and track schedules to optimize productivity and work-life balance for team members.

**Production**
- Determine production priorities in collaboration with the Production or Plant Manager.
- Align production activities in collaboration with Maintenance for planned and unplanned maintenance requirements.
- Maintain efficiency to ensure production flow will meet customer requirements on a timely basis.

**Quality Assurance and HSE Compliance**
- First point of contact for quality, maintenance, housekeeping, safety, and service issues arising on shift
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality standards and plant policies, including all housekeeping schedules to maintain the plant according to Nutreco standards.
- Identify potential hazardous situations, take appropriate action is case of imminent unsafe situations.
- Ensure that SOPs are up-to-date, accurate, and followed consistently by the team to prevent incidents and potential injuries.

**Reporting**
- Maintain standard production monitoring systems and reports to ensure accurate and timely update of production status.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to achieve set local and global targets and objectives.

**YOUR EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE**
- 3-5 years of proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership role in a processing or manufacturing facility.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Innovative and excellent interpersonal, influencing, communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

**GOOD TO KNOW**
- This is a full-time position with a regular Monday to Friday shift, with occasional on call or overtime hours.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs; and ability to regularly bend and twist.
- Often exposed to loud sounds, distracting noise levels, and dusty environment.
- Valid Alberta driver’s license
