What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business-to-Business at Westview Co-op, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of our Agro locations. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a business development strategy and ensuring the efficient, effective, and safe operation of each Agro location. The Agro Division Manager will: Understand and following Westview Co-op’s Health and Safety Program Providing professional, people-first, service to our Members and Guests and living our Brand expectations through our “You’re at Home Here” motto. Lead the Agro Team to develop the Agro strategy in support of the vision and mission. Guiding the vision in interpreting and defining general operational goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. Focus on growth opportunities and priorities across divisions based on corporate goals and retail capacity. Work with the Leadership Team to plan for facility upgrades and replacements. Responsible for developing talent to meet the needs of the business, including training and development, succession planning and leadership development, and employee engagement. Develop and implement annual and long-term retail marketing strategies and plans that support corporate and division goals. Responsible for sales, margins, expenses and working capital in the Agro division. Develop annual operating budgets, capital budgets, and business plans for the Agro division. Frequent travel across our trading area and occasionally outside of our trading area. Other projects and assignments as required. Provide a strategic focus by developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns to boost sales and consumer awareness of the Co-op Value proposition.  Work closely with our Executive Leadership Team and Marketing Team to execute strategies while looking for new ways to enhance business growth through CRS Programs.  Responsible for the overall safe, effective operations of the respective division.  This individual will work with Team Leaders to identify areas for improvement and follow up on execution.  Understand Westview Co-op’s Policies and Procedures.

Who you are: 

Previous experience in progressive and successful leadership roles with a preference for someone with post-secondary education. We are looking for a positive, approachable, and motivated individual with a drive to learn. Candidates will demonstrate the following:

Understanding of our Values (Integrity, Community, Teamwork) Professional, people-first, Guest experience skills . Strong business and organizational savvy, with an ability to plan and align resources, including overseeing detailed operating budgets, timelines, people, and processes. Demonstrated 5 years of leadership experience, including leading a Management Team, and 7 years retail experience. Business degree/diploma, or a combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered. A strategic mindset, with the ability to drive a company’s vision and purpose through each decision they make. Are a results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do. A belief in building relationships, effectively encouraging others, and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most. A reputation for being honest and trustworthy, with demonstrated ability to balance stake holders, manage conflict, and ensure accountability. Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (required)
