Retail Store Supervisor

The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing the store staff, and maintaining inventory. This role requires a passion for birds, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming and informative shopping environment for our customers.

Must be able to work Monday to Friday 8am-5pm and every other Saturday 8am-12pm

Being able to lift 50lbs is a must

Having strong business financial background would be considered an asset
- Greet and assist customers, providing expert advice on bird food and related products.
- A strong understanding of business financials
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any concerns promptly and professionally.
- Foster a welcoming and informative atmosphere in the store to enhance the customer experience.
- Hire, train, and supervise retail staff, ensuring they deliver excellent customer service.
- Schedule and coordinate staff shifts to maintain optimal coverage during business hours.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure products are well-stocked.
- Place orders with suppliers and track product deliveries.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and waste.
- Create appealing product displays and arrangements to attract customers.
- Regularly update the store's layout and signage to promote featured products.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies.
- Promote in-store promotions, discounts, and events to drive sales.
- Collect customer feedback to help improve products and services.
- Monitor sales and track expenses to ensure store profitability.
- Prepare and manage the store budget, including cost control and revenue generation.
- Implement security protocols to prevent theft or damage to merchandise.
- Ensure that the store complies with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Follow all Turtle Mountain Seed Co safety policies, procedures, and protocols. Report any accidents/incidents, near misses, injuries, and concerns to the Manager or a health and safety committee representative, and work in a safe manner that ensures the health and safety of themselves and all others on the work site (including but not limited to TMSC staff, customers, contractors.) this includes working in a manner that is in alignment with and promotes psychological and social well-being.
- Any other tasks requested to support operations, maintenance, and admin teams to collaborate, meet and exceed customer expectations.

**Salary**: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
