- Represent APTN by being the face our viewers recognize, attend special events, interview guests’ celebrities and politicians;

- Deliver on-camera presentation of News & Current Affairs programs; and may assist in producing as needed;
- Develop, write, and deliver ‘live hits’ at relevant times during the day;
- Research and develop story ideas, prepare outlines and pitch stories;
- Works closely with reporters on pronunciation and other story details, and works with the producer(s) to ensure show continuity;
- Craft high quality stories and demonstrate great time management skills;
- Demonstrate your strong communication skills while interacting with the public and remote colleagues.

**Your accomplishments and experience include**:

- A degree/diploma in journalism or related field with proven experience related to journalism;
- Broadcast journalism experience;
- Must be able to articulate National issues relevant to Indigenous communities;
- **Exceptional verbal communication skills in English and French** coupled with the ability to share complex ideas/concepts with a diverse audience;
- Must work well under pressure, with a spirit for collaboration and team building;
- Experience working with an Indigenous organization as well as knowledge of Indigenous cultural perspectives.
