The Coordinator Shapedown BC Program oversees the development and implementation of a Shapedown BC Program and Clinic. This position coordinates all program activities including marketing, promotions, program outreach and community liaison, budget and case management functions. This position will support the Shapedown program on Vancouver Island. The Coordinator will be onsite at BCCH a few days during the week. Group sessions will be delivered virtually. There may be some in-person sessions in Victoria and Nanaimo.

**What you’ll do**
- Responsible for the delivery of the Shapedown BC Program by planning, coordinating and evaluating processes consistent with the goals and objectives of the Shapedown program; collaborate and initiate discussions with team members to achieve the established goals and objectives for the program.
- Implement processes for the appropriate identification and screening of patients including referral criteria and mechanisms for managing inpatient and community referrals; develop and maintain intake processes including prioritization criteria for entry into the program; maintain the database for the purpose of data collection, evaluation and tracking of patient information for review.
- Provide work direction to other staff within the program regarding the implementation of program protocols, clinic policies, procedures and evidence-based best practices, as required; provide input to the Shapedown BC Provincial Program Manager or Professional Practice Leader or designate on the resolution of operational and clinical matters for the program.
- Provide direction and supervision to designated clerical staff regarding the maintenance of monthly statistics on patient/program referral patterns, waitlists, redirected referrals and the management of patient/program referral issues as required.
- Provide consultation and networking to regional, community and pediatric centers and other external organizations as required; ensures training, develops and/or provides relevant and related education/orientation materials for the Shapedown team; participate in resource development, monitoring and evaluation of Shapedown BC Program.
- Provide ongoing planning and review of treatment protocols and makes recommendations to the program team related to nutrition treatment and/or interventions.
- Identify resources needed for program and clinic operations and provides input to the Shapedown BC Provincial Program Manager on operating and capital equipment budget requirements and/or expenditures; monitor the budget and variances in the operating accounts; review and oversee accounts payable to external agencies.
- Coordinate and liaise with external agencies to facilitate program planning and offsite education/recreation sessions; coordinates and participates in continuous quality improvement and risk management activities related to patient care and program/clinic operations.

**What you bring**:

- Graduation from an approved program in Dietetics and successful completion of a recognized dietetic internship program.
- Three (3) years’ recent related clinical dietetic experience in a child health setting working in the area of weight management counseling, including one (1) year experience in a leadership and/or supervisory role involving program planning, implementation and evaluation, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current full registration with the College of Dietitians of BC.

- Working knowledge of budget planning and variance analysis
- Ability to provide work direction, organize and prioritize work
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
