Reporting to the Director, Donor Impact & Engagement, this position will be responsible for supporting the needs of the Donor Impact team and the Alberta Cancer Foundation’s comprehensive stewardship program involving gift acknowledgement, donor recognition, and donor accountability. The role of the Donor Engagement Coordinator position is to deliver, through a broad range of duties, efficient administrative, customer service and donor engagement support that will enable the Donor Impact team to focus strategically on donor stewardship across all giving streams. We are privileged to have a team based out of the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton, Alberta and this position is located there.

Key Focus Areas:
**Donor Acknowledgements & Stewardship**

Assist in the process of ensuring donors receive timely, consistent and meaningful acknowledgement of their giving in accordance with the Donor Impact Standards, and in consultation with Philanthropy. Work with the Donor Impact team to ensure effective reporting that meets the needs of donors by:

- Prepare and deliver thank you letters or impact reports for major gifts donors
- Make donor thank you calls, as assigned
- Assist with the distribution of the annual Report to the Community
- Assist Donor Impact with personalized donor appreciation events, as needed
- Assists with donor recognition and stewardship activities (i.e. reports, tours, receptions, meeting room requests, grand rounds and information sessions) as required
- Collaborate and provide feedback to Donor Impact & Engagement

**Frontline Support**

Serve as the first point of contact and information source for a wide array of stakeholders. Manage inquiries and interact effectively with members of the general public including, prospective and current ACF donors, current and past patients, bereaved family members, event participants and organizers, cancer care staff, and volunteers.
- Accept gifts from individuals in person or by telephone
- Assist donors requiring support or guidance when making a donation
- Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of the Alberta Cancer Foundation's Gift Acceptance Policy & Gift Designation Guidance
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service when assisting visitors, donors, patients, family members, volunteers, staff or other members of the general public
- Redirect all communications appropriately and professionally, including incoming calls, mail, and visitor inquiries
- Maintain relationships by handling questions or concerns with professionalism and accuracy
- Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of Alberta Cancer Foundation’s funding priorities
- Support ACF leadership in any onsite meetings

**Donor Impact Administration**
- Assist Donor Impact with external vendor coordination and donor list preparation for production and installation of donor recognition
- Assist Donor Impact with donor list preparation for updating the six donor walls across the province on an annual basis
- Coordination when preparing for external donor and staff recognition awards
- Responsible for organizing and maintaining Donor Impact folders and files on Shared Drive
- Prepares and circulates minutes and action items for team meetings
- Arrange team meetings, conference calls and travel, filing, handling mail and courier requests
- Other duties assigned by Donor Impact leadership

Required Qualifications:

- Some post-secondary or related technical training required
- 2-4 years of work experience in a non-profit organization, preferably focused in health care philanthropy. Please note that a different combination of transferable or related education and work experience will be considered
- Customer service experience, with demonstrated sensitivity to varied needs of customers is an asset
- Experience in Raiser’s Edge is an asset
- Ability to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Have exceptional time management skills and strong attention to detail
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Valid Alberta Driver’s License
