GIP has an opportunity available for Assistant Project Manager, in our Mississauga Branch.

**Responsibilities**
- Chair Communications Working Group meetings with the client and
- stakeholders
- Ensures project is constructed according to design, budget and schedule
- Monitors project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower,
- materials, equipment maintenance, safety and quality control
- Interfaces with project team, subcontractors and related third parties
- Monitors and inspects project site to maintain a safe work environment and
- provides leadership to ensure policies, procedures and standards are followed
- Supervises, provides guidance and assesses performance of direct reports and
- other team members
- Oversees project closeout
- Implementation of the communications plans including crisis
- communications, and responding to local residents.
- Maintaining and communicating project information through several forums
- including project website, newspaper, phone, and E-mail blasts.
- Interfaces with traffic and environmental teams to communicate traffic impacts and environmental consultation.

**Qualifications**
- A EIT or CET designation is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of project management experience
- Experience on road construction projects is desired.
- Experience in AFP/P3 Design-Build projects is desired
- Experience in managing all aspects of road building, asphalt and construction projects.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and build strong working relationships.
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced environment.
- Effective decision making and problem solving skills.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
