**About the Role**:
The Senior Formulation Scientist will spearhead our research into integrating AI with drug product development. This role requires a deep understanding of formulation science, in particular the development of solid dosage forms and a very strong working knowledge of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis of drugs. The applicant should have a passion for pioneering research that integrates artificial intelligence in pharmaceutical development. Your role in the lab will directly contribute to our mission of reshaping pharmaceutical development.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Designing and Conducting Research (65%)**:Contribute to cutting-edge research initiatives focused on integrating AI with formulation development. Projects may include developing novel drug delivery platforms, utilizing machine learning for predictive modeling, and working closely with technical experts to develop automated workflows. This role requires extensive experience in the development of solid dosage forms and a very strong working knowledge of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis of drugs. You will be responsible for designing experimental methodologies, conducting experiments, data analysis, and presentation of data to internal stakeholders.
- **Quality Assurance and Compliance (25%)**: Ensure that all research activities adhere to the highest standards of scientific integrity and regulatory compliance. This involves remaining up to date with relevant regulations, conducting regular audits of lab processes, and establishing quality control measures.
- **Mentorship (5%)**: Uphold a culture of excellence and continuous learning among team members. Your role will include mentoring junior scientists and fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and open sharing of ideas.
- **Collaboration and External Engagement (5%)**: Act as a key liaison between Intrepid Labs and the broader scientific community. This involves engaging with industry partners, academic institutions, and research consortia. Represent the company at conferences and symposiums, showcasing our research advancements and exploring collaborative opportunities.

**Qualifications**:

- B.Sc. and an upper level degree such as an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Science (i.e. Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering or equivalent).
- At least 3 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in the development of liquid, solid, oral, immediate, and modified-release dosage forms.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex research projects.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety and ethical standards in research.
