We are looking to enhance our team by welcoming a **Manufacturing Operations Manager**. The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for manufacturing our products in a safe, quality-oriented, productive, reliable, and cost-effective manner while demonstrating leadership and great people management skills. This position requires a hands-on manager with excellent problem-solving skills and a sharp focus on continuous improvement. This position will report directly to the COO and will collaborate with the Supply Chain, Engineering & Maintenance and Quality Assurance team members.
- **The role**:_
- Lead the manufacturing team in the safe production of quality products with a continuous improvement mindset
- Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
- Maintain quality assurance by establishing and enforcing organizational quality standards
- Be a visible leader and maintain a strong, consistent presence on the plant floor
- Promote and maintain end to end process control
- Monitor processing variables and critical control points and address deviations in a timely and controlled fashion
- Implement cost reduction and throughput improvement initiatives
- Take ownership of all manufacturing routings and the development of the annual manufacturing budget for labour and overhead
- Lead and optimize the manufacturing reporting procedures and systems
- Develop collaborative relations with the Maintenance department to ensure timely condition-based maintenance of all equipment
- Work closely with Supply Chain to ensure alignment on material planning and availability
- Collaborate with the internal and 3rd party sanitation teams
- Review manufacturing processes for efficiency, noting areas for improvement related to all areas of the manufacturing facilities
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- **You offer**:_
- University degree in Engineering or Business Management from an accredited university
- 10 years manufacturing experience within the Canadian Food industry in a management role
- Track record of accomplishments in manufacturing with progressive levels of responsibility
- Great leadership and motivational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
- A sense of urgency with ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
- Strategic planning and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge and experience in Canadian Health and Safety practices and requirements
- Trained in GMP and HACCP

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $110,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
