The Ktunaxa Nation Council has an opportunity for **Part-Time Business Development Officer in Cranbrook BC**. Reporting to the Director of Economic Investment, the opportunity is suited for someone with a strong business background who enjoys providing guidance and support to budding entrepreneurs, contributing to positive outcomes for the Nation as a whole.
- **This is a part-time (21 hours per week), term position.**_
- Key Responsibilities:_
- Provide support and assistance to clients in development and operation of entrepreneurial activities.
- Form partnerships with existing economic and business development organizations such as Community Futures and CBT.
- Promote Ktunaxa entrepreneurs to potential customers, partners, and/or investors.
- Maintain a record of your business, community and client contacts.
- Maintain knowledge of regional, provincial, federal labour markets, current labour market initiatives, trends, and opportunities.
- Prepare written and oral reports/presentations for various meetings, i.e. Chief and Council, Economic Sector Council, KNC Communities, etc.
- Key Requirements:_
- Post-secondary diploma or degree related to Business Administration, Management, or Commerce is preferred. A combination of certification/training and related work experience will be considered.
- 2-3 years related work experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of Ktunaxa culture and traditions.
- Strong working knowledge of business plans, marketing plans, feasibility studies, strategic plans, and other entrepreneurial tasks.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to communicate clearly with clients, Stakeholders and partners.
- Advanced administration skills, including.
- Problem-solving, research skills, analytical abilities.
- Perseverance, organization, attention to detail, sensitivity to confidential information and records.
