Banquet Supervisor

**Job Summary**
This position has responsibility for ensuring efficient execution of events in conference/meeting facilities, supervising and participating in serving banquet functions. As a senior member of the banquet team, ultimate responsibility is to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction through high quality service. The main responsibility will be the supervising of all banquet staff in the proper and efficient set up and break down of function rooms.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- consistently display a mature, professional manner and be an example to the line staff in all interactions with guests and employees
- greet each function convener, and follow up throughout the function to ensure guest satisfaction
- ensure the entire team is delivering exceptional customer service to all guests by acting with a customer comes first attitude at all times
- establish rapport and connect with guests and meeting conveners to ensure their requests are met and event runs smoothly - setting an example for the team and acting as a mentor/leader/coach
- ensure staffing levels for function are correct
- oversee banquet service operations, ensuring all banquet service details are executed as per the Banquet Event Order (BEO)
- communicate areas of opportunities from guests to management in a timely manner
- active liaison between the guests and other associates to ensure outstanding customer service
- working directly with the banquet event staff to ensure events are on time and to the BEO
**Qualifications**:
- in order to be considered, you must have full open availability**
- min 2-3 years experience in a Food/Beverage role an absolute requirement
- current Serve It Right Certification or provincial equivalent required
- exceptional communication, leadership and organization with ability to delegate tasks to peers with follow-up and feedback as required
- ability to recognize and correct guest service issues in a courteous and professional manner
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $16.00-$17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 28 - 40 per week

**Experience**:
- Supervising: 1 year (preferred)
