Applications are invited for the position of Board Operations Manager in the President’s Office. The salary range is $77,520 to $96,900 for a 35-hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.

The incumbent is responsible for Board-College communications and the onboarding of new Governors. Working closely with the President and College Executive Team members, along with the Chair of the Board and Board subcommittee chairs, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating and supporting Board agenda development, meeting preparation and logistics, and reporting requirements.

The Board Operations Manager is also responsible for overseeing and ensuring Niagara College’s compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) and Personal Health Information Protection Act, including coordinating the College’s response to access to information requests, and the submission of the College’s Annual Statistical Report to the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Primary liaison between the Board of Governors and the college.
- Ensuring the college fulfills its obligations under legislation regarding public notices, publication of Board by-laws and other legislative requirements.
- Developing and maintaining tools and processes to assist the Board in meeting its fiduciary and legislative responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating the preparation of Board materials and presentations.
- Response coordination and reporting compliance related to the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and Personal Health Information Protection Act.
- Liaison between the Office of the President and key internal and external stakeholders, including past, current and potential future Board members.

**Qualifications**:

- Four (4) year Degree in Business, Public Administration, or similar field of study
- Five (5) years experience working with a Board
- Experience working with legal and compliance matters
- Experience developing policies and procedures
- An understanding of the college and its community
