**AGRICULTURAL REGIONAL SALES MANAGER (Prairies)**

Reporting to the Sales Director - Western Canada, the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is accountable for technical sales and business development of all Company manufactured and distributed products within the region. The RSM builds sustainable business relationships with new and existing customers, contractors, consultants, government agencies, municipalities using a high level of communication, interpersonal and strong negotiation skills. He/she also provides presence in the field through demonstration of the valued added of our products and services.

This position can be based in Saskatoon or Regina.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- Works closely with the Sales Director - Western Canada, to develop sales and business plans.
- Oversees business and project development; identifying to securing opportunities and contracts.
- Manage customer inquiries, maintain and strengthen customer relations through site visits and a hands-on approach.
- Prospect and identify selling opportunities and expand market base.
- Evaluate and provide technical service and guidance to the design and construction communities.
- Negotiates agreements and solves problems by offering optimal product solutions.
- Participates in various events, conferences and exhibitions, as required.
- Regular travel required.

**Education and Knowledge**:

- Post secondary education in Agriculture, Arts, Business Administration or other technically related field, an asset
- 1-3 years sales and/or marketing experience; preferably in Agriculture product manufacturing or technically related field
- Broad technical background or strong technical aptitude; understanding of contract language and specifications
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills; advanced communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid organizational, time and priority management
- Able to attentively and actively listen and has patience to ask data-gathering questions to ensure understanding congruence.
- Familiarity with contact management systems
- Successful in fast paced environment and continually adapt to change
- Valid and clean drivers abstract
- Basic computer skills, inlcuding MS Office
