What will you do?

The Compliance Lead will act as a member of the MAKE Quality Leadership Team at Guelph supporting Site Audit Readiness, Supplier Quality, Controlled Substances Compliance, Internal and External audits, and External Manufacturing Compliance. As a member of Plant Quality team, the Compliance Lead will also act as supervisor to the Calibrations Team (supporting R&D, Analytical and Micro labs). In addition, the Compliance Lead will provide approvals for Investigations (including but not limited to Supplier Quality Investigations, Vendor Investigations, and Packaging Investigations).

**Major responsibilities**:

- Ownership and co-ordination of internal and external audit schedule
- Ownership and co-ordination of the Drug Establishment License for Canada and the FDA Establishment License for US
- Responsible for site compliance with controlled substances (RPIC responsibilities)
- Execute the site audit readiness program
- Calibration PO approvals
- Approval of Investigations
- Support to Calibrations activities (monthly metrics, Maximo approvals, CM work order closures and extensions)
- Direct report supervision (calibrations, RPIC, and auditor roles)
- Quality representation on site Business Continuity and Compliance Projects
- Oversight to direct and indirect material supplier quality
- Continuous Improvement Projects
- Delegate/back up for Sr. Plant Quality Manager
- Support to MAKE-related Complaint investigations
- JJPS Project execution as required

Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Previous people leader experience required
- Strong computer skills and SAP system knowledge preferred
- Good knowledge of GMP regulations required
- Experience with Analytical and Microbiology Laboratory equipment and methods is an asset
- Ability to work with limited supervision and function effectively in a team environment is essential
- Good interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload
- Demonstrated problem solving and multitasking capabilities
- Excellent decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of Process Excellence/Lean is an asset
