Under the leadership of the Director of Risk Management, the Manager of Security will create a hospitable and customer friendly environment for our guests and employees while ensuring a maximum level of protection and safety. They will promote a professional work environment while setting standards and expectations for exceptional service delivery.

**WHAT WILL I BE DOING?**
- Proven ability to strike a balance between providing excellent service to our guests while enforcing
- rules to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors and employees of the resort.
- Responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with resort peers and community emergency services partners
- Inspire performance of team members through effective coaching, mentoring and understanding
- individual motivators.
- Responsible for recruitment and performance management.
- Ensure the department performs all obligations outlined in security contracts. (i.e. Village Association
- and Condominium Corporations).
- Understand and be aware of potential staff and guest liability issues associated with duties
- performed by the Security Department and communicate such concerns to the appropriate
- business units and the resort’s Risk Management team
- As required; ensures processes and procedures are in place to protect company assets from theft
- and/or damage. Work together with those responsible for implementing access control (i.e. key
- access), camera monitoring and other security systems.
- Act as a primary point of contact for any security-related guest concerns, showing a strong aptitude
- for empathy and effective complaint resolution.
- Assist the Director, Risk Management with departmental budget and business unit planning.
**WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?**
- High School diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in Law Enforcement and/or Security
field an asset
- 3+ years of leadership in the security industry, with proven coaching skills, strong employee relations and ability to motivate staff
- Security, Police and/or military experience an asset
- Highly developed communication skills (both oral and written)
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License required; valid Ontario Driver License required
- Successful completion of First Aid/CPR/AED training required
- High level knowledge of MS Office suite of products an asset
- Use of Force and Intervention Techniques Instructor an asset
