As the need for practical learning opportunities for students rises, GBGH is looking to support a student studying Health Information Management, or Medical or Business Administration to gain practical experience in the hospital’s Health Records department.

As a member of the Health Records team, the **Student **will assist in clerical duties in the Health Records Department. Duties will include filing, scanning, and indexing while demonstrating a superior level of customer service. Reporting to the Manager of Health Information Services, the Student Intern will provide support in the delivery of Health Records systems.

Job Requirements:
**QUALIFICIATIONS**
- Currently enrolled in one of the following degree or diploma programs: Business Administration, Medical Administration, or Health Information Management.
- Previous administrative experience (preferred).
- Proficient computer skills - proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite;
- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal, written, communication and organizational skills
- Must be dedicated to professional growth & development.
- Must have demonstrated excellent attendance/performance record.
- Excellent prioritization skills, attention to detail and possess the ability to multi-task and deal with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with other members of the health care team.
- Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced working environment.
- Must strive to continuously provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, professional staff, and volunteers.
