Your Role
Day to Day
Build and maintain comprehensive knowledge of sustainability initiatives and programs across the company.
Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders across all divisions to develop a sustainability plan, establishing goals and metrics to measure the company's sustainability performance.
Assess existing operations to identify and prioritize sustainability initiatives to meet European Union (EU) requirements.
Assist in formulating sustainability policies and procedures.
Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team and stakeholders to identify data requirements and determine audit, report, or dashboard requirements necessary for meeting sustainability program standards.
Coordinate with various business units to gather and consolidate sustainability information into a cohesive report, ensuring that audit and program reports satisfy requirements or eligibility criteria.
Partner with the Learning and Development and Marketing teams to create educational pieces and best practices for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Agriculture, Environmental Studies, International Development, or related field.
Proven track record of successfully implementing sustainability programs and a strong understanding of sustainability concepts.
3+ years of data analysis and reporting related to sustainability.
3+ years of experience in team management or supervision, demonstrating effective leadership abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey sustainability initiatives and requirements to both executive leadership and operational staff.
Must be able to travel provincially and interprovincially and hold a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the Agricultural industry.
Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward successful task completion.
Experience in implementing the fundamentals of organizational change management and continuous improvement.
