**Job Description**:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration of essential payroll activities, including employee records, employee time tracking, payroll processing, and other related administrative functions. The Payroll Administrator is also responsible for ensuring all activities within the payroll department are completed on time and accurately.
- **This is a hybrid position located out of our office in Mississauga, Ontario.**
- Process bi-weekly payroll for 500+ employees across multiple provinces while adhering to all legislated requirements.
- Maintain and audit changes to payroll/benefit systems as needed.
- Prepare Records of Employment and liaise with Service Canada to verify information.
- Support employees and managers with day-to-day questions about Company policies, payroll, benefits, employee records, and all other related functions.
- Reconcile payroll information against time and attendance records.
- Assist new employees with online pay statement registration to increase self registration.
- Assist with the reconciliation of statutory deductions, garnishes.
- Organize, update, and maintain the personnel filing system while ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
- Input and process bonus and/or commissions as per Company policy.
- Arrange for special payments such as retroactive pay and/or termination payments.
- Prepare bi-weekly and monthly vacation, lieu time, sick time balance reports and accrual journal entries.
- Process Government agencies inquiries and reconcile remittances including T4, WCB/WSIB.
- Identify all federal payroll tax deposits discrepancies and send them to ADP payroll service.
- Prepare various payroll reports for the Finance Department.
- Assist with year-end payroll items.
- Ensure auditing is completed each payroll cycle and/or as needed on a monthly basis.
- Recommend and implement areas of improvement within the Payroll Department for more efficient workflow and accuracy.
- Create SOP documentation to support payroll workflows and update as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum three (3) years full cycle payroll processing experience in a corporate, multi-provincial environment
- University and/or college diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Payroll designation completed or in progress.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft environment and exposure to payroll systems.
- Thorough knowledge of all relevant payroll and tax related legislation.
- Previous experience with ADP payroll or a related automated payroll system.
- Working knowledge of all other basic employment related legislation.
- Able to prioritize and meet specific time sensitive deadlines.
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information in an ethical and professional manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Overtime as required.
