Position Information

**Position Title**
- Academic Tutor - Finance & Accounting focus**Position Summary**
- The Academic Tutor will help students improve their understanding of concepts and processes related to their academic course work by providing one-on-one and small group tutorial support. This position specifically focuses on finance and accounting skills.**Position Responsibilities**
- Tutor students at all levels taught at Red Deer Polytechnic.
- Liaise with faculty/instructors regarding the course focus and tutoring needs for their students
- Maintain records of student use of tutoring service
- Communicate the availability of tutoring services to faculty and students
- Refer students to other services as required

**Required Qualifications**
- Four (4) year undergraduate degree, or equivalent in Bachelor of Education or related degree
- Two (2) to three (3) years of related experience
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Problem-solving and organizational skills
- Strong self-motivation and initiative
