**Development Officer**:
We are currently seeking a creative, ambitious and experienced **Development Officer **to be located at both our midtown Toronto and Vaughan Branches. This is a full-time position starting June, 2023.

**Reporting to the Director of Development, this individual will**:

- Implement and execute approved strategies aimed at increasing support for the fundraising campaign.
- Manage a portfolio of existing donors, as well as develop a pipeline of potential new donors.
- Support Bialik’s annual-giving strategy by developing appropriate cultivation, solicitation and stewardship initiatives.
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies in accordance with Bialik’s strategic plan.
- Develop engagement strategies for segmented stakeholders, including moving annual donors to major gift prospects.
- Identify ways to recognize and steward donors for their contributions, including thank-you calls and written communications.
- Develop tactics for donor engagement.
- Draft various types of donor correspondence.
- Attend meetings and events to build relationships with current families, grandparents, alumni and the community
- Conduct administrative duties relating to program activities as needed.
- 3 - 5 years of frontline fundraising experience
- University degree or comparable combination of education and work experience
- Proven track record of managing an annual giving campaign
- Exemplary interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work well independently and with a team
- Strong strategic aptitude with a demonstrated ability to problem-solve and handle a diverse range of assignments with multiple timelines
- Experience working in nonprofit organizations, ideally in a school or educational setting
- Raiser’s Edge proficiency
- Experience working with the GTA Jewish community
