**Position**: Kitchen Lead / Junior Chef
FUNK coffee bar is seeking an experienced food and beverage manager to lead the kitchen at our location.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
An active Food Safe certification
4+ years of management experience in a kitchen environment
Passion for specialty food and beverage
Experience with inventory management and ordering
Able to work well under pressure and maintain emotional control in fast-paced environments
Keen attention to detail, especially related to health and safety standards
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As Kitchen Lead, you will be responsible for the following duties and expectations:
Maintaining Food Safe sanitation standards and regulations for food storage, preparation, and service.
Accountability for Labour Percentages, food COGs, inventory, waste, pricing, and reporting.
Hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of kitchen staff.
Design and execution of kitchen menus and specials.
Documentations and communication with the FOH team to keep them aware of new menu items, allergen information inventory and 86 items.
Overseeing the daily preparation of food items, maintaining quality control and consistency
Assisting the Cafe Manager in taking inventory of kitchen supplies, receiving deliveries, and ordering new stock as needed
