**The main responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to**:

- Implement health & safety procedures reflecting local risks
- Deliver the corporate strategy and global business goals
- Expand structure and team to deliver customer projects and support (us and canada)
- Develop and implement an operational plan to create a platform for growth and scale-up
- Advise and agree on people strategy together with head office
- Oversea hiring and training of staff to support building a great team
- Mentoring & coaching staff in operational excellence, driving brand values of quality & delivery while controlling the cost to serve
- Esg and financial management, in coordination with head office
- Support external relationships within canada to develop opportunities & raise brand profile
- Participate in local and international conferences and events
- Drive strategy to support product development and process engineering
- Research, advise on and oversee the grant process in Canada

**What you’ll bring**:

- Bachelor of Science - Chemical Engineering discipline helpful
- Master’s degree in business administration, management or a related field a plus
- Prior operational management within a global organisation (7+ years)
- A good knowledge base of the country/region, and a willingness to learn
- Prior customer facing experience and the ability to provide great customer service
- Excellent people-management skills with a focus on coaching
- Experience living/working abroad is advantageous
- Sensitivity to different cultural norms
- Working in line with H&S Regulations
