**The main responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to**:

- Implement health & safety procedures reflecting local risks.
- Deliver the corporate strategy and global business goals.
- Expand structure and team to deliver customer projects and support (us and canada).
- Develop and implement an operational plan to create a platform for growth and scale-up.
- Advise and agree on people strategy together with head office.
- Oversea hiring and training of staff to support building a great team.
- Mentoring & coaching staff in operational excellence, driving brand values of quality & delivery while controlling the cost to serve.
- Esg and financial management, in coordination with head office.
- Support external relationships within Canada to develop opportunities & raise brand profile.
- Participate in local and international conferences and events.
- Drive strategy to support product development and process engineering.
- Research, advise on and oversee the grant process in Canada.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Bachelor of Science - Chemical Engineering discipline helpful.
- Master’s degree in business administration, management or a related field a plus.
- Prior operational management within a global organisation (7+ years).
- A good knowledge base of the country/region, and a willingness to learn.
- Prior customer facing experience and the ability to provide great customer service.
- Excellent people-management skills with a focus on coaching.
- Experience living/working abroad is advantageous.
- Sensitivity to different cultural norms.
- Working in line with H&S Regulations.
