- Job Details- If you're analytical, organized and have a passion for health and recovery, we want you to join our team.- Reporting to the Team Manager, this role handles predominantly medical files. You'll be provided with opportunities to develop professional and technical competencies.- As the Accident Benefits Claims Advisor, you'll identify and meet client needs by acting with urgency, ensuring a timely and thorough investigation of the claim and identifying client eligibility and/or entitlement to their available benefits. As a valued member of our Accident Benefits Claims Team your work will involve a range of complexity and may include the following accountabilities:
Make an Impact:- Gather, organize and verify documented information from all available sources to ensure a thorough and complete compilation of facts required to resolve the claim-
- Interpret reports and evidence to draw accurate conclusions about proposed treatment(s) and/or repairs and/or actions-
- Maintain effective case handling, priority of payment, loss transfer, and loss reserving for routine telephone claims-
- Evaluate non-complex medical files and recommend treatment plans that do not result in the individual requiring time off from work-
- Contribute to team productivity objectives by maintaining a positive file count and open/close ratioExperience Growth:- Remain current in case law, legislated regulatory changes and recent settlements which impact accident benefits claims-
