**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Collect samples and prepare and test them according to standard operating procedures (SOPs), accurately record all experimental data, and provide regular updates to the supervisor
- Conduct all required tests, extractions, and studies
- Accurately record all experimental data as directed
- Comply with all SOPs
- Maintain a vigilant commitment to safety
- Ensure all samples are appropriately disposed of and follow environmental and cannabis act regulations
- Utilize all equipment as intended
- Perform lab and equipment maintenance activities and inventory as required
- Implement QA/QC programs
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
- Minimum **1 year** of Quality Control work experience, in pharmaceutical, cannabis or food industry is a must.
- Hands-on experience and practical knowledge of HPLC-UV is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with ICP-MS, LC-MS/MS and GC-FID/MS would be great assets.
- Prior experience with Karl Fischer titrator, water activity apparatus, moisture content apparatus and pH meter is a must.
- Familiarity with instrumentation from different vendors (PerkinElmer and Waters in particular), prior experience with instrument and method troubleshooting practices, and proficiency with the use of chromatographic analytical tools (including Empower) would be great assets.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, commitment to compliance with standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and compliance with lab procedures/guidelines are required.
