- Responsibilities_:

- Create Estimates for new homes, additions, renovations;
- Create Estimates, Change Orders, and Request For Quotations using proprietary software;
- Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, architectural plans, engineering reports, specifications, and related documents;
- Identify labour, material, and time requirements;
- Calculate all costs;
- Calculate project timeline;
- Identify plan errors and omissions;
- Identify conflict between project documents;
- Resolves discrepancies;
- Material take-offs for our suppliers and their clients;
- Identify roadblocks which may cause delays in estimate submission or construction schedule;
- Ensure consistency in information calculated and presented between Estimates, Change Orders, and Request For Quotations, and presentation documents;
- Review prepared estimates with Project Manager for presentation to clients and hand-off to Project Coordinators;
- Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends;
- Maintain cost data;
- Maintain technical knowledge;
- Identify areas for improvement in proprietary software;
- Maintain strong industry contacts.
- Requirements_:

- 3 years residential construction estimating experience;
- Architectural plan reading experience;
- Communicate effectively with sub-contractors;
- Attention to Detail;
- Analytical mindset;
- Teamwork;
- Estimating experience;
- Proficiency in AutoCAD;
- Proficiency in Excel;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Multitasking;
- Time-management;
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written;
- Knowledge of the residential construction process;
- Knowledge of the building code is an asset;
- University degree or college diploma;
