Traffic Controller

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Install, maintain, and remove traffic control devices (signs, barricades, cones, etc.) in compliance with the City of Winnipeg Manual of Temporary Traffic Control.
- Conduct site assessments to determine appropriate traffic control measures.
- Ensure all traffic control devices are properly placed and maintained throughout the project duration.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, construction crews, and other stakeholders.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of traffic control equipment.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations requiring traffic control measures.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
- Keep accurate records of installations, maintenance, and removals.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience as a Traffic Control Equipment Installer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of the City of Winnipeg Manual of Temporary Traffic Control.
- Ability to read and interpret traffic control plans and diagrams.
- Strong understanding of traffic control safety practices and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
