Traffic Flagger Foreman

**ABOUT US**
**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**
Reporting to the appropriate site supervisor, the Flag Person Foreman will be responsible to ensure Aecon Construction Solutions Inc. achieves their general and specific project requirements.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Stop, slow, and safely direct traffic through construction sites and work zones
- Operate handheld radios to communicate with crew
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and be fit to work.
- Works safely around heavy construction equipment and travelling public
- Experience setting up and taking down traffic control equipment
- Maintain a courteous and professional relationship with clients. Respond to inquiries promptly and carry out work as required to satisfy client requests and project quality standards
- Build a level of knowledge and understanding of safety practices, scheduling techniques, trade knowledge and employee engagement
- Lead and mentor employees in safe work practice and knowledge
- Maintain regular communication with Supervisors and Project Managers regarding project’s progress, risks, and forecasts
- Immediately correct any hazardous, unproductive, or high-risk situations and report any conditions that aren’t correctable to Supervisor
**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Foreperson
- One (1) year flagging experience
- Physical strength and stamina
- Manual dexterity
- A safety-conscious attitude
- The ability to work with others in a team
- Must be willing to work in remote job locations
- Repetitive movement
- Able to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Continuously changing work tasks
- Ability to work a significant number of hours throughout the day
- Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments
6/1 shift
**Salary**: $36.65-$43.96 per hour
