**Position Title**: Director of Municipal and Community Partnerships

**Reports to**: Executive Director

**Salary**: $85,873.68

**Job Summary**:Responsible for the development, implementation and operation of municipally-funded and community collaborative projects, including but not limited to H2H (Here to Help), Toronto Community Crisis Service (TCCS) and FOCUS tables.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- graduate degree in a clinical, healthcare or Social Services discipline. An equivalent combination of education and clinical supervision and program direction experience may be considered;
- at least five years of direct experience working in community mental health, crisis intervention, substance use specific services or experience in a related field;
- at least five years in a leadership role within a mental health, substance use or multi-service community organization, including at least two years in a senior management position;
- experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders;
- experience with financial management;
- excellent organizational skills;
- excellent oral and written communication skills;
- a demonstrated capacity and willingness to engage with public through the media;
- a broad understanding of all the factors that impact an individual’s mental health and well-being including the social determinants of health, trauma, poverty and homelessness, Racism and the effects of colonialism and discrimination;
- a demonstrated understanding of best practices for crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies;
- a demonstrated understanding of best practices for suicide risk assessment and interventions;
- a demonstrated understanding of a harm reduction approach to substance use and recovery;
- a demonstrated understanding of issues related to involvement in the Mental Health and Justice System;
- a demonstrated commitment to working through an Anti-Racist, Anti-Oppression, Trauma informed lens
- a demonstrated commitment and ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders including colleagues, service users, funders and community partners;
- a demonstrated capability to be flexible and to work under pressure;
- a demonstrated ability to create and maintain an environment that is supportive and encourages staff growth and development;
- a current and working knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Mental Health Act and

P.H.I.P.A.;
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- provides leadership and support to managers and staff of municipally-funded and community collaborative projects.
- coordinates and communicates with funders and service partners
- participates in communication with general public via media
- provides oversight and supervision of municipally-funded and community collaborative projects
- provides regular reports to Executive Director, project Advisory Committees and GCC Board of Directors, as required;
- works collaboratively with City of Toronto, Toronto Police Service, and community partners and Advisory Committees, when applicable, in support of projects’ objectives;
- ensures provision of projects, programs and services in accordance with GCC’s Mission, Vision, Values and Approach and works to fulfil objectives of the GCC Strategic Plan;
- works with Director of Finance, Administration and Facilities to monitor approved project budget and approves project spending within budget limits;
- actively participates in project data review and analysis;
- oversees the development, implementation and evaluation of projects and quality improvement initiatives;
- provides leadership that supports critical analysis and quality improvement of projects, programs and services;
- provides supervision, mentorship and performance evaluation of project managers;
- works collaboratively with and participates actively on GCC management team and senior management team;
- provides decision support to Executive Director and other members of GCC’s senior management team, as needed;
**Working Conditions**:

- regular work schedule of five consecutive days, Monday through Friday
- will require flexibility in working hours to accommodate organizational and project requirements and may require some weekend and on-call work
- work at a designated office location that may be within a short-term residential setting
- remote work may be required
