**Your Tasks**:
Implement category strategy at the plant level. Within the category management, this position will focus cost management, supplier management and efficiency improvement to develop significant and sustainable competitive advantage for KIRCHHOFF Automotive.

Plant/s specific purchasing responsibility for categories assigned by the Corporate Purchasing Manager.
Executes global category strategy at the plant level.
Develops cost management plans for plant/s and delivers results in a timely manner.
Total responsibility for spend management of the categories assigned; reviews spend by category and suppliers on a monthly basis.
Implements cost avoidance strategies, volume based rebate programs and supplier consolidation programs to develop a highly competitive cost base for the categories assigned.
Seeks opportunities for working capital reduction in terms of inventory reduction/lead time improvement and optimized payment terms.
Total responsibility for purchasing activities related to new program launch at the plant.
Provides guidance to all cross-functional teams in the plants regarding KIRCHHOFF Automotive purchasing policies and procedures. Ensures all purchasing activities are in compliance with KIRCHHOFF Automotive purchasing policies and procedures.
Total responsibility for supplier management at the plant level. Measures supplier performance for cost, quality, delivery, innovation and process improvement.
Evaluates supplier performance on a monthly basis with plant organization and corporate purchasing and conducts performance review with suppliers as required.
Evaluates supply chain related risks regularly, provides visibility to plants of any such risks and implements risk mitigation plans.
Develops in-depth knowledge of supply base for responsible categories in the region and evaluates competitive advantages and capabilities; maintains and updates a database.
Develops strong focus on supply chain efficiency improvements at the plant level.
Establishes/maintains strategic business relationships and development with key suppliers.
Develops/assists with the implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the departmental goals, objectives and timelines.
Ensures that purchasing business practices are compatible with Company policies, industry best practices and respective country laws and reviews legally binding agreements with Legal
Assists in responding to all customer inquiries.
Contributes to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support) are adhered to.
Ensures he/she is in full compliance with the laws of respective province or state or countries, while representing KIRCHHOFF Automotive or during the use of any KIRCHHOFF Automotive provided equipment.

Selection and finalization of suppliers and costs
Accountability - is accountable in areas of:
Competitive cost structure for the categories responsible for.
Contacts - establishes/maintains relationships:
All corporate and plant functional areas including but not limited to: Executive members, General Managers, Plant Managers, Plant production, Finance, Sales, Materials, Engineering, Quality, Sales and Human Resources

**Your Profile**:

- Minimum 6 years buying experience in strategic supply chain management and procurement.
- Experience in independently handling sourcing and procurement projects, ideally in industrial/manufacturing settings.
- Hands-on experience in managing sourcing initiatives from RFI/RFQ through negotiation and supplier finalization.
- Knowledge of sourcing metal commodities, fasteners, tubes etc. is an advantage.
- Knowledge of indirect category sourcing is an advantage.
- Sound understanding of IATF 16949 and ISO14001 requirements.
- University Degree or equivalent College Diploma in Engineering or Business
- 5 years purchasing.
- Automotive or industrial products manufacturing preferred.
- Purchasing certification is a plus.
