Green PI Inc is presently looking for a Jr. **Web Multi-media Content Consultant **for its client Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) to provide expert design guidance to the business team with knowledge, advice, and technical abilities in Mobile Application design and development for the iOS and Android platforms. This is a contract opportunity starting from **approval of contract to May 31st 2024 with possibility of extension.**

**Must have**:

- Experience with WCAG.
- Three references related to past projects.

**Role**:
Provide expert design guidance to the business team responsible for the requirements and to the internal software developers who are experienced with real-time weather data and open-source technologies such as Java/Linux.

**Responsibilities**:

- Must review current WeatherCAN/MétéoCAN UX/UI.
- Must provide expert advice and guidance to the business team and IT app development team at all stages of the development lifecycle such as the following.
- Utilization of native mobile app design development best practices.
- Recommended agile methodology specific to the Project.
- GIS Mapping techniques for visualizing weather data.
- Develop and assist in designing usability satisfaction tests (design quality assurance).
- Perform UX/UI testing using either focus groups or through beta testers identified by the Contractor.
- Identify UX/UI defects in delivery components.
- Participate in meetings and reviews.
- Design new screens for smartphones and tablets for the WeatherCAN/MétéoCAN mobile weather app that will enhance the user’s experience on the app.
- Incorporate best practices, usability and accessibility standards as follows.
- Level AA conformance to be met in full.
- Ensure a consistent, branded look and feel with a strong Canadian theme that helps to build loyalty and trust among clients. Follow the Government of Canada’s standards for branding and appropriate look.
- Ensure the WeatherCAN/MétéoCAN accommodates both English and French content.
- Cleanly and clearly provide screen designs for the readability of severe weather alerts.
- Ensure delivery of widget designs for each platform.
- Assure the implementation of designs done according to product specifications produced by the business team.
- Submit design deliverables electronically in an interactive prototyping software, like “inVision software” in English and French.
- Provide status updates in writing.

**Deliverables**:
