**ABOUT US**

Campfire Circle (formerly Camp Ooch & Camp Trillium) has offered healing through happiness for thousands of kids and families affected by childhood cancer since 1983. It’s where kids can be kids, and families can be families—engaging in camp-inspired community, in-hospital, and overnight camp programs, at no cost to them. As a privately funded organization, Campfire Circle donors make thousands of life-changing experiences possible for Campers throughout the year, all across Ontario.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

Reporting to the Senior Development Officer, Events, The Impact Ambassador will be responsible for inspiring and educating new and existing Campfire Circle supporters to achieve their fundraising goals, increase their involvement with Campfire Circle and maximize their giving. Impact Ambassadors will be focused and responsible for building meaningful and positive relationships within the community.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITES OF AN IMPACT AMBASSADOR**:

- Cultivate, solicit and support new and existing Campfire Circle supporters to maximize their involvement with Signature & Community Events.
- Attend virtual and in-person campaign activities/events to encourage participation, articulate impact, share the mission of Campfire Circle and boost involvement.
- Travel to community events to educate and inspire giving.
- Increase engagement among partners through donor-centered activities (stewardship phone calls, on-site activations, donor visits).
- Execute the P2P fundraising and stewardship plans through outbound phone call recruitment and fundraising touchpoints.
- Work and communicate with other Impact Ambassadors to manage workload, report trends and share updates with the Impact team and managers.
- Collect and share stories with the Impact team to build relationships and personalize future communications.
- Additional duties and projects as required.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse group of staff, donors, fundraisers and volunteers.
- A strong storyteller with the ability to motivate, engage and inspire people through verbal, in person and written formats (both in person, virtual and group settings).
- A proven ability to work independently with the flexibility to take on a wide variety of assigned duties and projects.
- A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with volunteers.
- A demonstrated ability to organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines and work under the pressure of time constraints.
- Detail oriented with great organizational skills.
- In possession of a valid Canadian driver’s license (G Level), with regular access to a vehicle and insurance (mileage will be reimbursed);
- Working towards or recent graduate with a university degree or college diploma with a focus of Event / Non-Profit Management, Marketing or related disciplines is an asset.
- Experience in customer service a must.
- Experience with Campfire Circle programs is an asset.
- French speaking is an asset.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Hybrid work from home and work from open office setting, amount of time in office depends on stage of event planning.
- Attendance at events indoors and outdoors is required in this role.
- Includes occasionally working outside for long periods of time to support event execution.
- In consideration of the population Campfire Circle serves, the incumbent is a non-smoker.
- This position involves considerable evening and weekend commitments, including some overnight travel to support event execution a few times a year and some travel that requires driving through Ontario and potentially the U.S.
- Part-time position.
- Hiring 6-10 Impact Ambassadors.

**COMPENSATION & BENEFITS**

This part-time position offers an hourly pay rate of $17.00.
