- College diploma in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related combination of education and experience
- 2 years relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in website management systems
- Excellent communication (both oral and written), judgement, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Proven organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet multiple deadlines
- Ability to be self-directed and work independently
- Demonstrated safe work practices
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as required
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract

- Experience working with elected officials in a municipal setting
**_ Duties:_**:
- Develop, plan, organize and deliver effective print and digital communications
- Develop content for communication materials and various platforms, including one-page reports for public consumption
- Support the development of other communication deliverables, including internal and external publications, media relations, and events
- Lead public communication campaigns, including quarterly newsletters
- Review and maintain content on County of Brant website, ensuring relevance and alignment with communications plan
- Use various software programs to enhance the effectiveness and searchability of the website
- Advise on improvements and enhancements to communications
- Lead engagement and support on intranet
- Other duties as assigned
**Annual Salary**:$39.06 to $45.69 (Job Grade 6) 35 hours per week
