Job Description / description de l'emploi:
To assist in implementing all strategies and activities to generate and maximize overall revenue, through marketing, sales, promotion, advertising, and public relations that will impact positively on all operating departments of the hotel, thereby resulting in a profitable return on the ownership’s investment.

Qualifications / qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Group Sales Manager in a high-volume upscale hotel required. Experience in the Downtown, Toronto market is preferred.
- Hospitality Degree or Diploma preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team oriented environment.
- Excellent ability to conduct group presentations both written and oral.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and reprioritize when necessary.
- Strong business planning, account planning and budget management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be creative to develop strategies that will drive revenue.
- Demonstrated ability to tie strategies and planned actions to results.
- Strong financial/statistical analysis and business case development skills.
- Strong understanding and expertise in the sales process.
- Extensive experience with account management.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Salesforce FDC or equivalent systems knowledge required with developed computer proficiencies.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Position requires up to 20% travel

Responsibilities / responsabilités:

- Achieve monthly room night goals.
- Following booking guidelines and ensure full maximization of revenue potential.
- Assist Director of Sales in implementing strategies and action plans to generate revenues for the hotel.
- Active solicitation of key accounts to generate direct sales.
- Assist in maintaining sales team’s focus on a proactive solicitation environment.
- Promote high visibility of hotel through active involvement in industry associations and trade shows.
- Support and promote all corporate programs to increase customer awareness of Omni Hotels and ensure that the customer receives the appropriate benefits of each program.
- Support and promote all internal programs to increase positive customer and assocaite awareness of the Omni King Edward and sales department.
