Overview:

The National Sales Manager (NSM) will be responsible for developing and overseeing the sales team in implementing sales strategies in assigned territories throughout Canada. The NSM will handle the management, training, and growth of their direct reports, as well as oversee implementation of area business plans. Through active guidance and effective performance management, the NSM will ensure the attainment of sales objectives by delivering exceptional customer management.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales:

  • Develop and lead the sales team in the execution of sales/marketing strategies within assigned territories to achieve sales goals.
  • Attain monthly, quarterly, and annual goals for the area and each team member by effectively implementing the Plan of Action (POA).
  • Contribute to company planning for local, regional, and national events as necessary.
  • Manage, train, and develop direct reports; plan and conduct regular Business Meetings to drive business goals, build promotional messages and enhance team performance and culture on a national level.


Management:

  • Monitor and analyze changing market trends, economic indicators, competitor activities, and supply and demand factors. Regularly report findings and strategic implications to General Management.
  • Work with direct reports to update and refine the business plan, ensuring it reflects current market conditions and organizational goals. Review progress regularly to make necessary adjustments.
  • Facilitate strategy meetings with company leaders to discuss and align sales strategies. Include the sales team in these discussions as needed.
  • Schedule and conduct regular “ride-along” with team members to provide support and mentorship. Maintain a detailed record of these activities, including future plans and past events.
  • Assist in developing customized sales strategies for different regions, taking into account local market conditions and opportunities.
  • Handle sales approvals as needed, following the direction of General Management to ensure alignment with company policies and strategies.


Reporting:

  • Set sales targets by accurately forecasting annual sales quotas for regions and territories and projecting expected sales volumes and profits for both existing and new customers.
  • Prepare detailed analytics for individual territories, as well as comprehensive reports for all regions.
  • Identify potential high-revenue areas and growth opportunities to set ambitious sales goals.
  • Track sales performance for the sales team, identifying strengths and weaknesses among team members, territories, and customer types to optimize sales strategies.


Administrative:

  • Provides support for commissions, calculations, and updates as needed.
  • Works with finance to review and approve expense reports per company policy.
  • Works with human resources and IT to support company policies, hire team members and provide adequate and appropriate team reviews and PIPs.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience with 3+ years of sales leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of national sales and marketing strategies.
  • Clear understanding of regulatory requirements related to sales of injectable fillers in Canada.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with injectables.
  • Experience in the medical device, cosmetic, OTC, or pharmaceutical fields.
  • Ability to synthesize, interpret and summarize information.
  • Master’s degree in a related field.


Location:

Richmond Hill Office


Travel:

Regular travel, up to 75% within Canada will be required.
