Located out of the Inter Pipeline Ltd. Corporate Calgary office, the Analyst, Fleet Expeditor will report to the Manager, Logistics. This exciting role will be part of a collaborative team and will act as a liaison between Scheduling, Sales and Operations. The Analyst will interface with external rail vendors as well as internal stakeholders to identify and respond to rail trends, fleet metrics, and future operational requirements. Key Activities and Responsibilities:

- Monitor fleet distribution (i.e., cars at loading facilities, customer locations, repair shops, etc.) and make recommendations to prevent fleet allocation issues such as shortages or oversupply.
- Build and maintain rail fleet reports such pipeline, idle cars, mechanically defective units, etc. to identify issues, trends, and prevent customer service disruptions (reports will be created and maintained in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word or other programs as needed).
- Enter and maintain freight cost, fuel surcharge, mileage, and other information into assigned Transportation Management System or other software as needed.
- Enter waybill instructions to send railcars to loading/unloading locations, repair shops, storage facilities, etc.
- Resolve Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) billing and routing issues as they arise.
- Participate in rail carrier meetings and utilize data to answer questions and drive improvements.
- Assist other teams (Accounts Payable, Operations, etc.) on verifying car movements, invoice integrity, and other matters as needed.
- Communicate daily with internal customer service team, railroads, to resolve different types of issues.
- Assist with other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Education, Skills and Experience
- Associates degree from an accredited institution
- 1+ years of logistics management with exposure to rail or truck fleet operations
- 1+ years data analysis experience
- Experience in polymer or chemical manufacturing and distribution preferred
- Familiarity with Transportation management software, Bourque Logistics, PCMiler Rail considered an asset
- Basic geography and concepts of rail operations required
- Strong communication and attention to detail

Hours:
Monday-Friday Fulltime

Occasional after hours, weekend, or holiday work may be required to resole logístical or customer service issues.
